Awaken!

Join us for Awaken on Sunday mornings! (AKA Sunday School)

We have a place for everyone to join in and learn more about Jesus.

We would love to have you join us!

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not become partners with them; for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,

“Awake, O sleeper,
    and arise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Palm Sunday!!

This celebration commemorates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, mentioned in each of the four Gospels. Jesus entered the city knowing He would be tried and crucified and welcomed His fate to rise from the grave and save us from sin! Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, the remembrance of Jesus' last days to the cross.

Holy Week

Holy Week, the week leading to Easter Sunday, is commemorated with notable importance, honouring the acts of Jesus Christ in the days before His crucifixion and resurrection. Holy Week is also known as the "Great Week" in Greek and Roman liturgical texts for the great acts of God during that time.

Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday is the Thursday before Easter, believed to be the day when Jesus celebrated his final Passover with His disciples. Most notably, that Passover meal was when Jesus washed the feet of His disciples in an extraordinary display of humility. He then commanded them to do the same for each other.

Good Friday

Though we are called to remember the gospel all year long, every day, there is a particular focus that Good Friday brings to the Easter celebration. Good Friday kicks off the most momentous historical weekend of the year; Good Friday is the reason we have a resurrection Easter celebration. Ever since the historical Friday that Jesus died on the cross for our sins as an innocent man, a perfect substitution and payment for the price of sin, Christians have proclaimed His resurrection far and wide.

This year we will gather with Coronation Evangelical Free and Veteran Full Gospel in Coronation at the Hall.

Easter Sunday

He is Risen! He has Risen indeed!

Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus from the tomb on the third day after his crucifixion. Easter is the fulfilled prophecy of the Messiah who would be persecuted, die for our sins, and rise on the third day. (Isaiah 53). Remembering the resurrection of Jesus is a way to renew daily hope that we have victory over sin. According to the New Testament, Easter is three days after the death of Jesus on the cross.
