Update from Rosalee

This is a place we never hope to be, and yet, here we are. As many of you know Ryan's leg and foot were badly hurt by an auger on Nov 11. We thank God for so many events that kept this from being much worse. Clayton came over just as it happened and was able to get him out. Ryan's clothes jammed the auger, sheered the joint and stopped it, AND an Aunt Bernie who can handle driving fast, blood, calling 911 and fishtailing past a semi.

But in all seriousness, we truly see His mercy in this. Ryan is still waiting for surgery, which is pretty major with an up to 6 month recovery. Please pray his wounds heal well and foot goes back to 100% with no long term issues.

This adds a new and interesting dynamic to our life that is going to require shifting our mindset and hard work. But we know with God's mercy and grace we can do hard things. We will choose to let this refine us, rather than define us.

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.

PS I know I look far too excited for someone laying in a hospital bed.
